Here are some of the hobby projects I am working on now or have worked on in the past.

I got my genome fully sequenced to a coverage depth of 100x with Nebula Genomics. I am now looking for:
patterns that explain my family's predisposition to neurological diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).Â
why I have hypoglycemic symptoms, but test negative for hypoglycemia in blood tests.
I am looking for funding to fully sequence my relatives to understand these mysteries and also study patterns of inheritance within my family.
Minecraft is what got me started coding. I taught myself how to code in Java in high school and I'm continually dreaming up new things to add to the game. Here are a few examples.
I was Brigham Young University's Minecraft club president 2022-2023. My contributions included creating a 1.5 scale replica of our campus and coding for several club night activities including a wizard's duel event, and a doomsday event.
Ore sheep eat ores and grow them as wool, which can be shorn off with a pickaxe. This mod has over 1 million downloads!
Complex crops adds rice that only grows on shallow water, cucumber vines, and two-block tall corn that predates the two-block tall Minecraft flowers.
I was an avid bird watcher in high school and still occasionally go on birding trips. I have collected photos and sound recordings of over 100 species of birds and had a website showcasing them that I created in high school. Unfortunately, that website was lost during an update to Google Sites, so I will slowly be building it back again here. Come back for fun stories about my birding escapades!
